Live ADS-B

Live Flight Map

Aircraft in the air right now, with cargo airlines highlighted: loading…. Move the map to see planes anywhere; it refreshes every 20 seconds.

Aircraft data: ADSB.lol (ODbL). Planes are shown within 250 nautical miles of the map centre. Routes and aircraft details: adsbdb (routes are the ones a callsign usually flies). Photos: Planespotters.net and their photographers. Cargo airlines are recognised by callsign; passenger airlines also fly freighters under their normal callsigns.

Questions

Where does the data come from?

Aircraft broadcast their position, altitude and speed by ADS-B. Volunteer receivers around the world share what they hear through ADSB.lol, an open data network. Positions are usually a few seconds old.

How do I find a cargo flight?

Search by its ICAO callsign: the three-letter airline code plus the flight number, e.g. GEC8416 for Lufthansa Cargo LH8416 or FDX5182 for FedEx. Tick “Cargo airlines only” to hide passenger flights.

Why is a flight missing?

Coverage depends on receivers on the ground: it is dense over Europe, the Mediterranean and North America and thin over oceans and parts of Africa and Asia. A plane out of range reappears when it flies back into coverage.

Can I track my air cargo shipment here?

This map shows aircraft, not shipments. Add your air waybill to Shyppy and the shipment page shows the flight it is on, its delays and the plane's live position, with an alert when it lands.

Shipping by air?

Track air waybills in Shyppy: the flight your cargo is on, delays, the plane's live position and an email when it lands.
